“Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God,
that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.”
Hebrews 13:15 teaches us that, “Through Him (Jesus) then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.”
So, how do we bring an offering of thanks to God? The Bible not only commands us to give thanks regardless of our life circumstances, good or bad, but it tells us to verbally give thanks to God. When we give verbal thanks to God, it’s like a child who makes their parents happy by telling them, “I love you.”
God knows all things. He looks at our hearts and knows whether or not we feel like giving thanks. But regardless of our circumstance, God still asks us to give verbal praise to Him. [Begs the question why???] Far too often, we fail to give God what is due to Him, verbal thanks.
Let us bring glory to God through our verbal praise and thanks. By doing so, we will be reminded of God’s goodness to each of us.
