Many of us have heard the story of the first Christmas many times. It is a very familiar and beloved part of our Christian heritage. The beautiful Christmas images invoked in greeting cards, paintings, movies, music, and other media have clearly shaped the way that we imagine that first Christmas. But those images, while beautiful, may not accurately reflect reality. We forget that there was a very human side to this story and we can lose personal connection with the Biblical characters whose lives were dramatically changed by God’s actions. Come and join us for our Christmas sermon series, “Mary, Did You Know?” and reflect more deeply on the experiences of these characters and their stories.
