Sister Heather Fong
Sister Heather Fong grew up here at FCBC-LA and has been serving in many areas. After graduating from U.C. Irvine where she was involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, she made a commitment to serve with Servant Partners. Heather works as an Environmental Planner. As a tent maker, she spends the rest of her time serving with Servant Partners and Church of the Redeemer in South Los Angeles. Servant Partners works in urban and poor neighborhoods to assist in the creation and development of new local churches and organizations who in turn seek to serve and reach out to those neighborhoods.
Pastor Cory Ishida
Pastor Cory Ishida is a graduate of UCLA and Fuller Theological Seminary. Cory started the Evergreen Baptist Church in LA about 29 years ago. He currently serves as the senior pastor of the Evergreen Baptist Church in San Gabriel Valley, California. Cory has been married for over 37 years, has three married daughters, and seven grandchildren. Cory enjoys basketball and golf, but most of all, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
Dr. Sam James
Sam and Rachel James became missionaries with the International Mission Board in 1961 serving in South Vietnam until 1975, when they had to leave because of end of the war. After that they served in a number of positions as a missionary leader and mentor to others. Sam "retired" in 2001 but he still serves as a short-term missionary with the IMB in Vietnam, the Middle East, and other areas. Sam has authored articles in various periodicals and has just completed his first book, "Servant on the Edge of History," which finally puts his vast experience on the mission field on to paper where you can experience with him the Lord’s mighty works throughout the world.
Dr. Eddie Lo
Dr. Lo is a Chinese-Filipino, with a background as an electrical engineer, and is married with three sons and a daughter. Studying in Christian schools since childhood, Dr. Lo became a follower of Christ during his high school years. Upon entering the electronics industry, he founded the "First Electronics Industries, Inc." in 1976 to develop audio equipment, and he has been in the industry for nearly 30 years. After immigrating to the United States, he and his co-workers founded the "outhern California First Oasis Fellowship" and "Southern California Chinese-Filipino Christian Church." Being called by God in 1996, Dr. Lo took an early retirement and became a volunteer at the Far East Broadcasting Company. He studied at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University to receive his M. Div. in Pastoral Ministry and Th. M. in Biblical Exposition. In 2004, Dr. Lo became the Executive Director of the China Gospel Ministry at the Far East Broadcasting Company.
Rev. Tong Su Liu
Rev. Liu is the teaching pastor of San Francisco Chinese Alliance Church. He came to Christ while working as a researcher at Yale University. He would later attend seminary at Yale Seminary at which time, both he and his wife started New Harbor Chinese Alliance Church. Since his graduation from Yale Seminary in 1997, Rev. Liu started and shepherded Connecticut New Harbor Chinese Alliance Church and New York New Life Chinese Alliance Church. He also published many theological and religious articles as well as being a consulting editor to a number of Christian publications. He had also served as a special researcher for Yale Seminary and as a communications researcher in the Alliance Seminary. Since 2004, he has been traveling to China to conduct training and evangelism ministry. He has become a life influencer to young scholars and a spokesperson on government-church issues in China. Thank the Lord that Pastor Liu continues to share God’s word and lead evangelistic/revival meetings all over the world.
Dr. Simon Tsoi
Originally from Hong Kong, Dr. Tsoi came to the U.S. in the late 1960’s to pursue graduate studies in ESL and Linguistics. He would later go on to finish his seminary degrees at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and Dallas Theological Seminary. For nearly thirty years, he pastored churches in Dallas, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona, and in 2001 became Executive Director of Chinese Baptist Fellowship of the U.S. and Canada. He has faithfully served on a number of boards and committees of our denomination. He is a sought after speaker, teacher, and consultant who shares with others on how to share the Gospel, to train leaders, and to be effective as a church seeking to fulfill the Great Commission.
Brother Wong
Brother Wong is a Christian businessman working closely with house churches in East Asia. Over the last several years he has seen thousands come to know Christ and many churches planted.
