Tim Smith
After working with youth and families for twenty-five years, Tim Smith co-founded Life Skills for American Families, a non-profit 501c(3) organization dedicated to innovatively celebrating and empowering the family. Tim speaks, writes and coaches families throughout the United States. His resources and information about his presentations can be viewed at: www.parentscoach.org.
Tim is a Research Fellow with the George H. Gallup International Institute of Princeton. His popular book, The Seven Cries of Today’s Teens (Integrity Publishing, 2003) is based on exclusive data from Gallup. His recent books & seminars include: Connecting With Your Kids – How Fast Families Can Move From Chaos to Closeness (Bethany House, 2005); The Danger of Raising Nice Kids (IVP, 2006) and 52 Family Time Ideas (Bethany House, 2006). He is currently writing a gift book for "Rookie Dads."
Tim speaks to thousands each year at his seminars for parents and speaking at corporate events; retreats, and conferences. His speaking clients include the National Football League; Clear Channel Communications; The Cleveland Clinic; Pepperdine University and other nationally known corporations and institutions. His in-demand coaching practice is available in-person, on-line and by phone appointment.
A radio commentator and experienced guest for the media, he has done hundreds of interviews on his work. His sixteen books include: The Relaxed Parent, Family Traditions, Letters to Nicole, and Life Skills for Guys–Connecting Teens and Parents. In his free time, he enjoys surfing.
Family Coach, speaker, author and President of Life Skills for AmericanFamilies, Tim has a passion to coach family members with effective life skills. He lives with his wife, Suzanne in Southern California. They have two young adult daughters.
Cory Ishida
Cory Ishida is the senior pastor at Evergreen Baptist Church, San Gabriel Valley. He has been married to Reine since 1969 and has three daughters and ten grandchildren.
He enjoys going to Disneyland with his grandchildren, participating in the Evergreen church basketball league, collecting flashlights, coaching his family in volleyball and basketball at junior or senior high levels, and freshwater fishing.
His favorite foods include spencer steak at Jocko's, roast duck at Sam Woo's, family sweet and sour chicken wings, and breakfast anywhere.
